Fashion Show Frenzy

A few days ago me and my good friend Nikki did a three day camp for little girls around the ages of 4-7. It was a blast! We made wearable crafts and even cooked a little. On the last day we took the very last half and hour to have a fashion show, showing all the parents what their children had made of the past few days. We cooked some snacks for after the fashion show and we were all so excited to share them!

Some of the girls were more nervous than others about this little gig, but other than that everything went as planned. Each girl went individually, and then we went all together as a group. One of the moms was so great enough to bring the girls flowers. Even we got flowers! Everyone was great, they all had their own unique style and pattern. I hope each and every one of the girls had fun!

I Got My Ears Pierced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so nervous! When I woke up and my mom said "We are going to Easton, go get ready," my head began spinning with ideas. "Hmmmmm, I guess I could get my ears pierced at Claire's............" I thought. But even that sounded far-fetched at the moment. I took Emma into Justice to use her gift card, and so I sort of forgot about it for a while. Then, when we were done we walked straight into the mall. Claire's had moved so we had some unnecessary trouble getting there.
We had to ask a security guard, which made me feel stupid, since the security guard knew where Claire's was and I didn't. By the way, Claire's is not a very boy-friendly kind of store. We walked in and the lady at the desk did her usual intro "Are you looking for anything special? Sunglasses are half-off..........." you know, the usual. So we told them I wanted my ear's pierced and they sat me down in a chair. I picked my earrings; Purple of course. Emma watched from a far still pondering the same question "Should I get my ear's pierced??" The way they pierced them was like stapling my ear, so Emma decided not to get hers done. It didn't hurt. Well, not really anyway........................
So right when I get done I text everyone I know and say the same thing "Hey! Guess what?? I got my ears pierced!!!!!!!" I was so happy! Just to make my happy attitude even more bright, and bubbly my mom decided to get us a pretzal from Auntie Anne's. They make pretzals that are huge (bonus) and sweet, not to sweet, and very moist. I think this is the best day I will have in a while. (((=

How To: Recycled Magazine Clutch

I wanted to show everyone how to make this really cool, cute, earth friendly, clutch. The supply list is below. There is not much to get, just some basics from around the house.

1. Old magazines (I used family fun)
2. Scissors
3. Printer Paper
4. Tape

First cut out a page in a magazine. Fold it in half and cut slits almost all the way through. Unfold and try to make as straight and neat as possible. Covering all trace of the fold.
Cut strips off of magazine pages. They can be colorful, plain, thick, or thin. Try to keep them the same length.

Begin weaving them through the slits. Careful not to rip the paper. If you want you can leave the extra at the end, or tape it back onto the other side.

Once you are done weaving you can choose which side you like better. Put a piece of printer paper on the side you don't like (you may have to cut it down), and then fold the extras over onto it. Fold it either way to make an either wide, or tall clutch.
Here is the finished product. This took me about 30 min. to do. You can glue a handle to the inside, or you can embellish with pom-poms, buttons, etc. Have fun! Happy Crafting!
